See how the dScribe smart lightboard works, from one-button startup and drawing on an infinite digital canvas to recording straight to USB and going live on a video call.

Like our traditional lightboard and one button studios, our newest dScribe studio was designed and engineered with user friendliness in mind. Here's how to use the dScribe from Revolution.
Like our entire suite of products, the dScribe completely powers on with the press of a single button. Within seconds, the integrated Windows PC allows users to log in with their organization's preferred network login.
The main difference between our traditional lightboards and the dScribe is that the canvas is digital. With the provided stylus, it's easy and intuitive to select different colors, pen styles, and other functions using the touchscreen interface.
The digital markings are on an infinite canvas, meaning the presenter can draw without the limitations of the traditional whiteboard. Markings can be easily moved, manipulated, and erased without the need for a physical eraser.
The dScribe also leverages our powerful overlay capabilities. You can present within slideshow presentations, web browsers, software, and so much more with our simple drag and drop overlay system.
The digital canvas is a mirror of the confidence monitor, so you can directly manipulate anything from a computer as you present.
Like our lightboard and one button studios, the dScribe studio features a dual monitor setup: a flex monitor for displaying notes or for seeing your audience on a live call, and a confidence monitor that shows the exact video signal that you're sharing with your audience.
To begin recording, insert the USB drive and hit record on the integrated touchscreen interface. To stop recording, hit the button again.
To review the captured footage, move the USB drive to the computer USB slot on the device. Open the folder and review your files. This footage is immediately available for upload to your LMS or preferred file storage. No post-production needed.
As with our other studios, the dScribe can be used for live calls by any of your preferred video conferencing software. Just simply choose the dScribe studio device as your microphone and video source prior to the call.
